Cathy Tabbakh is a Franco-Armenian painter based in London. She has been exhibited both in London and in France.
After having explored abstract and portraiture, her style is now focused on saturated figurative scenes, colliding both imaginary forms with existing landscapes with a hint of surrealism.Tabbakh displays an acute attention to detail and colors to form geometrical textures, linking perspective and shadow.
Deep blues and fiery reds are her colors of predilection, both being infinitely luminous and eye-catching. Nonetheless, she uses a large pigment palette translating her daily obsession with colors. She mostly works with oil paint, acrylic, ink and felt tip pens allowing her to play with the diverse intensity of the media.
